032c and adidas Launch Collaborative GSG9.2 Tactical Boot
The function-focused shoes are dropping imminently.
First seen in January, 032c and adidas Originals‘ collaborative tactical boot is finally here. Part of the German fashion label and magazine’s Fall/Winter 2019 “Cosmic Workshop” collection, the tall boots remain true to their utilitarian roots.
“It’s really a quintessential German product for me,” notes co-founder and editor-in-chief of 032c, Joerg Koch. Fellow co-founder Maria Koch emphasizes, “It’s not very sexy or funky, it’s super precise and to the point.” The original iteration of the GSG9.2 was conceived as a work shoe ideal for 20th century Germany, an appreciably functional silhouette that was later co-opted by ’90s ravers as a sturdy standby for bunker-based raves.
032c’s new iteration is still functional, but it also features a range of suitably stylish upgrades. Plush suede covers the upper and shaft, co-mingling with breathable mesh on the co-branded, padded tongue. A grippy rubber outsole is executed in tonal grey to match the versatile single-shade upper, while thick rope laces ensure a tight fit. Finally, subtle reflective 3M accents across the upper aid in furthering the shoe’s rave associations, simultaneously keeping it on-trend for contemporary footwear.
The collaborative GSG9.2 boot is now available via 032c’s web store, SSENSE and at Dover Street Market London or CIFF Paris.
Most recently, Pusha T roamed Barcelona in the new adidas Originals Ozweego.
